Leicester City lead race to sign Iheanacho

Leicester City have emerged as the favourites to sign Kelechi Iheanacho from Manchester City

The Super Eagles attacker is expected to be no more than a peripheral figure at the Etihad Stadium next season, opening the way for a transfer.

Rumours about his future began emerging in May, with Sky Sports reporting that West Ham United had submitted an official bid.

The Hammers were favourites to sign Iheanacho, the Foxes are now leading the pack to sign the former U-17 World Cup winner.

This is despite Leicester already boasting the attacking talents of Jamie Vardy, Ahmed Musa, Islam Slimani, Shinji Okazaki and Leonardo Ulloa.

Iheanacho would represent a great signing for either side, though they will have to come up with some big money to land the Nigeria, who is expected to cost somewhere in the region of 20-million. – AfricaSports24.
