Corps Commander of the 44 Army Reference Hospital, Maj-Gen. Obashina Ogunbiyi, on Saturday said the son of former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, Lt. Col Adeboye Obasanjo, has discharged from military hospital.
Speaking with newsmen in Kaduna, he said so far no fewer than 170 injured soldiers, who are members of the troops in the North-East, battling the Boko Haram militants, had been treated in the hospital.
He however, noted that some were flew abroad for further treatment depending on the degrees of the injuries.
“Up to date, the hospital is the base hospital for the Zaman Lafia operation. Over 170 soldiers have passed through here for treatment; some were flown abroad for further treatment which is not available in this country. Obasanjo’s son was treated in one of our facilities, he is doing well and he is discharged,” he said.
Chief Obasanjo’s son sustained injuries during an ambush laid by the Boko Haram militants in Michika, Adamawa State, last Monday.
