Labour Party’s Presidential candidate, Dr. Peter Obi on Thursday said #EndSARS protest victims died fighting for a better nation.
Today marks the second anniversary of the Lekki Tollgate protest which turned sour as some youths were feared killed during the protest.
Obi, in a tweet mourned those who lost their lives during the protest across Nigeria.
He said their cries for justice and good governance remained in his heart and others.
Obi added that their supreme sacrifices and their labour would never be in vain.
“Today, we mourn our brothers and sisters whose lives were cut short during the #EndSARSProtest. They died fighting for a better nation.
Their cries for justice and good governance remain in our hearts. Their supreme sacrifices, and our labours, will never be in vain,” he tweeted.
