Market traders in Enugu yesterday declared their total support for the gubernatorial bid of the PDP Candidate in Enugu State, Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, saying he is poised to continue the good legacies of Governor Sullivan Chime.

The traders who virtually shut down their stores to welcome the PDP Campaign train in the four major markets in Enugu said they were happy with the remarkable achievements of the PDP government in the State and want it to continue.

In his speech, spokesman for the Traders and Chairman of Timber Market Association, Enugu, Chief Levi Obi noted that Hon Ugwuanyi was an experienced hand who has knowledge of the needs of the people and expressed confidence in his ability to address them satisfactorily.

He also expressed confidence that Ugwuanyi would fulfill his promises to the traders especially in the provision of essential amenities and infrastructure in the markets.

Chief Obi therefore called on the traders to come out en masse on March 28 and April 11, 2015 to vote for Ugwuanyi and other candidates of the PDP.

Earlier in his address, the PDP Gubernatorial candidate in Enugu State, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi assured the traders that he will make frantic efforts to provide basic amenities in the market environment such as good roads, fire-fighting equipment, electricity and portable water supply to improve their services and comfort.

He also promised that his administration will constitute a committee that will ensure that these amenities were provided, adding that he also intended to provide ultra-modern machines to enhance efficiency and productivity in the market in line with international standards.

Ugwuanyi further appealed to the people to vote for President Goodluck Jonathan and all other candidates of the PDP in the State in the coming elections in order for them to continue to enjoy the dividends of democracy.

Other markets visited by the PDP train were Gariki Market, Awkunanaw, Enugu, Keyetta Market, Enugu and Coal Camp Tinker Market, Enugu.

The  train will also visit other major markets across the State, as part of the last phase of its campaign before the general elections.
