APC AND 2023 PRESIDENCY
I think the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, has finally and totally lost it. The entire story about APC' s Buhari planning to hand over power to both Southwest and Southeast Nigeria in 2023 is all sordid gibberish and outlandish. It is a very deceptive ploy to hang on to power despite gaping failures of the administration. I wonder and also ask, how, "The same government cannot promise the Igbo and Yoruba at the same time if it was sincere about the shape of politics of the 2023 presidency. This government has an uncommon reputation for deceit, lies, insincerity and hypocrisy especially when it has to do with its 2019 re-election bid.”

Nigerians should know by now that the problem of the country is really not about where the President comes from: it is actually about the country choosing the best hands for their political leadership at the highest level. This has not been the case because of persistent domination of the political leadership by incompetent people to the exclusion of qualified ones. As we all know, the north has dominated the presidency for more than half of the period from after independence; the southwest has had a fairly good share of it while the south-south has also tested it to an extent. But in all these, what good has become of those regions that produced the presidents let alone the entire country? Ironically, the north that has produced the greatest number of presidents is worst hit by grinding poverty, unmitigated ignorance and debilitating diseases. So what is the big deal? It is pure arrogance and ignorance to claim, "you will hand over power to a certain region come 2023" when you know that no one knows tomorrow. This statement lends credence to the speculation that APC is perfecting strategies o rig the 2019 elections.

Knowledgeable Nigerians have canvassed strongly and I agree that the most important agenda for any incoming president in 2019 is restructuring this country. It is not about which region produces the presidency either in 2019 or 2023. Restructuring is the minimum condition under which a new government in Nigeria will function going forward. With restructuring, every region can develop at its pace while laggards can decide to crawl and if they like, sit inside their puke while others can move on with their lives. Enough of this crippling ignorance and bad governance by ingoramus third eleven in Nigeria.
