Barely three weeks after their appointments, the Chief Security Officer to President Muhammadu Buhari, Mr. Abdulrahman Mani and Administrative Officer, Widi Liman have been fired.
Both men were said to have been undermining the authority of the president.
While Mani has been redeployed to Ebonyi State, he was immediately replaced by Bashir Abubakar.
Until his new appointment, Abubakar was said to be an assistant director in the Bayelsa State Command of the Department of State Security (DSS).
Liman’s replacement was yet to be named as at press time. He was a former close aide of Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, when he was the minister of Federal Capital Territory.
He was said to have been transferred to Oyo State Command of the DSS.
It was further learnt that the new Director General, Lawal Daura had ordered the reversal of some promotions carried out in the service recently.
The promotions were said to have been discovered to be undeserving.
A close source in the Villa disclosed that many close aides who had used their positions to undermine the authority of the president would soon have their fate decided.
