According to Prof Aminu, a victim is a villain, who must be excused because he doesn't understand the language of diplomacy in his approach to his fellow human beings. The Fulani herdsman is a victim and should be excused because he is moving around in the 21st century with the mentality that the routes which his ancestors used to pass through with their cows during the stone ages, should still be unoccupied lands in the 21st century. But the Jews are villains because they are claiming their lands from the Arabs 2500 years after they left. Meanwhile the Fulani cattle rearer is poor and uneducated, but he has grown in the purchase and use of sophisticated weapons for " defending themselves" from unarmed sleeping villagers (including women and children) at nights. These are very interesting submissions from our erudite Prof., who should be excused for defending his kith and kin.

I feel for the Fulani herdsmen who have been abandoned by their ruling class kinsmen. 4 Fulanis have ruled Nigeria and the big question is why they have not done what Chief Awolowo did for the Yoruba people by educating the Fulanis. In Guinea Conakry, the Fulanis or Peuls constitute the intelligentsia, industrialists and the business community because Sekou Toure offered the people free education. The Fulani leaders must do the same for their people and stop passing the buck

Here we go again, a Fulani aristocrat trying to defend the misdemeanours of his fellow tribesmen in the court of public opinion. What they couldn't do for their people during 34 years of misruling the country, they want others to do for them. They will not openly condemn the actions of their kith and kin or speak to (or dialogue with) their own people in the language they should understand, to stop the senseless war and killings of defenceless citizens in the name of religion, but they want "government" to do it. They want the various state governments to give people's lands to Fulani herdsmen in the name of grazing reserves, but they will never condemn the destruction of properties and businesses belonging to visitors in their midst. Jubril Aminu is saying the truth even though he doesn't want to own up to it: Boko Haram and the Fulani herdsmen are all soldiers pursuing the same cause to Islamize Nigeria, which the Fulani aristocrats hope to benefit from. Otherwise they would have been more serious about helping to deepen our democracy. Please let someone remind Prof. Jibril Aminu that this is neither the days of the crusades or Palestine we are talking about, but the development of Nigeria. It is not only them that have the monopoly of violence.
