I have no doubt in the good-will of the present administration, but I have two issues that are bothering me, first is about how they hope to tackle corruption in the new initiatives. We are very smart in generating corrupt ideas that destroy any good initiatives in our country. Secondly, a car is made up of so many parts, how many of these parts can we comfortably boost that we can produce in our country? Is the policy all about importing different parts of a car and possibly, inviting the 'white man' to come and couple them for us at a very expensive foreign exchange rate? I suggest we go back to a period when we used to have locally made car exhibition in this country. I think that can be a better beginning.

Let us all support good government initiatives. "Tokunbo car" - used car dealers need not take this government initiative that whoever should buy a new car could get it new - in a bad spirit. No doubt this is a good one for Nigeria and her citizens, that we should all applaude the present FG administration for, we should be proud that we are being transformed from Tokunbo (used) car owner to brand new (chasis) car owner, and ultimately, we need to be grateful to God that we can have an opportunity not only to witness this turn around but that we can also be partakers. Some of our fathers who started with riding brand new cars ended with tokunbo cars waited for this turn around but it never came till they died.

Another avenue for a good business also lies here, it will require us thinking out of the box though. Change is the only thing that is constant, of course with little pains initially but on the long run, it comes with great benefits. My late secondary school principal taught us that - all over the world, there is no paean without pain.

Attention car makers and dealers, financial institutions, potential and aspiring brand new car owners - I am an agent of change you need to make things go right and fast!

If you are a tokunbo dealer who sees a bleak future here, contact me let us reason together, there is surely a light at the end of the tunnel.

Thanks you for trusting me to serve you well.
