I am hoping that the military will deny addressing the former president in the manner presented above. It will be a great day embarrassment ti Nigeria if it's military truly issued such statement.

It is quite sad that the DHQ would descend to the level of commenting and responding in the manner it just did against Obasanjo. There is only one place where we would like to hear these people - where they need to defend the nation. Unfortunately, this is where they are absent.
Obasanjo's comments were political, and whether right or wrong, were just that. DHQ, if indeed is as well trained and professional as claimed, should maintain their professionality (silence).
It is not the job of the military to watch out for political or unlawful comments. There is an Attorney General (not an Army General) employed to do that.
It is indeed a shame of a nation when we have these newspaper reading and jobless Army Generals abandon their primary duty of defending the nation to join the political foray.
Obasanjo is a national and war hero, regardless of his present partisan political inclination, and should not be addressed in such manner by these band of 'GENERALS' that never fought a war (not even a so called Boko Haram).
