On the Electrocuted lady

Offiials of the Unilag Medical Centre are not known to be negligent on duty. It is therefore strange that this allegation is being made here against them by Oluchi's sister. It is very sad that this lady had to go through this painful experience and eventual death. The need to investigate the role of the Medical Centre is not to bring back the dead student, but to forstall future occurrence if any possible negligence is discovered. Medical officers, by their training and calling, are meant to save lives at all times, irrespective of the situation. It will be absord for any medical officer to insist on seeing an ID card of an endangered person brought in for help. This is unacceptable in this modern times when even alleged criminals are not to be denied treatment in a hospital, no less a young, hapless student within the confines of the university.
The authorities must thooughly investigate this and make findings public.
