Mrs. Ugwuanyi, who used the occasion to empower the dwellers through provision of sewing machines, hairdryers, among other items to the beneficiaries of her skill acquisition programme, also presented school uniforms, bags, sandals and cash gifts.

She promised to sustain the programme to continue to render selfless service to the people, especially the lowly to impact positively on their lives and alleviate their sufferings, saying: “U-TOLF is an organization that is solely established to assist people selflessly”.

Noting that the tasks before the women are enormous and most times engender high maternal mortality, Mrs. Ugwuanyi stated that the challenges informed why she considered it necessary to assist the indigent and vulnerable women cope with their difficulties by providing them with free medical care services as well as training in skill acquisition.

The wife of the Governor therefore, enjoined the women not to be deterred by the challenges of life but remain steadfast, prayerful and supportive to their husbands to bring up their children in a good moral background for a better society.
