Popular Afrobeat singer Tiwa Savage has revealed she is being blackmailed over a sex tape of her with partner.
Speaking with Angie Martinez, on New York’s Power105.1 FM, Africa’s Number 1 Bad Gyal explained an unknown person in possession of a sex tape she made with her current partner is trying to blackmail her to extort money.
Tiwa however, said she won’t succumb to the blackmailer, who may eventually keep coming for more money.

She added there’s also no guarantee the video won’t be released even if she meets with the demands.
More importantly, “Somebody’s son” singer noted she won’t be the subject of extortion for doing something that is entirely natural.
Tiwa savage said: “Yesterday, I was leaving a radio station, I’m in the car and my road manager sent me a message and told me to check my phone.
“So I checked it and there’s a video and I’m just like ‘wow! I’m like, ‘where did you get this from?’
“And he’s like, ‘I just got it like 20 minutes ago.’ This video was sent to him and it’s a tape of me and the person I’m dating right now.
“So, the first thing after I got off the phone, I sent it to my manager. And she was like ‘oh my god! And I’m like ‘what are we gonna do?’
“So the person is asking for money now. And the person I’m dating, he’s going crazy too.
“So I’m like ‘what are we gonna do?’ And my manager is like, ‘how much are they asking for?’
“So I woke up and was like, no, I’m not. Because I pay it now and then two months down the line you’re gonna come back again and then two years and then who knows, even if I do send you the money, you’re probably gonna release it anyway.
“Like the fact that, I’m not going to allow anyone to blackmail me for doing something that is natural.”
