The Ado community in Sagamu Local Government Area of Ogun State was thrown into mourning Thursday January 2nd, 2025, following the tragic death of its king, Alado of Ado, His Royal Highness (HRH), Kabiyesi Barrister Adeshola Amisu Tijani, Osokowu II.
Barrister Adeshola Amisu Tijani, Osokowu II, was widely known for his wisdom, leadership and unwavering commitment to the development of the Ado community.
One of the Chiefs, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, disclosed that prior to the monarch’s death, HRH Tijani had faced sustained attacks and threats to his life from certain powerful figures within the kingdom.

He alleged that Chief Adeleke Ogunsowo and Chief Adebayo, were among other conspirators.
It was gathered that due to the continuous threats and dangers posed to the royal household ,HRH Tijani decided to send his family abroad for safety.
it was further learnt that the monarch had previously suffered a suspected case of poisoning through a diabolic charm, but he survived that episode.
Sources further revealed that HRM Queen Pamela Tijani, prior to her departure from Nigeria, narrowly escaped abduction by unidentified persons.
The Queen learnt from sources that the unidentified persons allegedly acted on the instructions of powerful chiefs that schemed against her family.
The latest incident heightened the monarch’s concerns for the safety of his family.
He therefore arranged for his family to leave the country, while he sought protection in an undisclosed location.
However, tragedy struck when the kingdom received disturbing reports that, while in hiding, the monarch was violently attacked and killed by unidentified persons.
The Palace explained that HRH Tijani was stabbed and shot multiple times.
The Palace mourned that the deliberate and brutal attempt ended the life of the monarch.
The Ogun State Police Public Relations (PRO) had assured the Palace and Ado community that ongoing investigations would lead to the apprehension and prosecution of perpetrators of the dastardly act.
The Palace reminisced that Kabiyesi Barrister Adeshola Amisu Tijani, Osokowu II, left behind a legacy of service, courage and unwavering dedication to his people.
“He will be greatly missed by his family, loved ones and the entire Ado community”, a local chief tearfully added.
