Gov. Ugwuanyi re-echoes commitment to take development to 17 LGAs

Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State has assured the people of the state that all the seventeen local government councils in the state would be covered in the on-going massive development projects in the state.

The governor spoke on the occasion of a grand reception in his honourby the people of Amokwe, Udi local government area recalled his declaration on his inauguration day as the governor of Enugu State that the entire state was his constituency that would be evenly developed.

He added that he received massive support from the people of thestate and must reciprocate the gesture by service delivery and goodgovernance for all.

Governor Ugwuanyi thanked the people of Amokwe for the honour donehim, adding that the community would not be left out in hisadministration drive to develop the state.

In an address, the Chairman of Udi local government area, represented by his deputy, Mrs. Uche Eze commended Governor Ugwuanyi for his developmental strides in the local government area.

The Chairman enumerated the achievement of the governor in the local government within his short period in office as inauguration of a 2.5MVA injection sub-station and establishment of the civil centre at Akpakwume, Ezinze and Ibute Nze communities.

Others are flag-off of road project at Amankwo Ngwo through Eke Odudoto Ama brewery, reconstruction of an erosion devastated road at Abor –Nsukka road, repair and resurfacing of bad portion of road along Enugu Ninth Mile Expressway, among others.

The local government boss assured the governor of the support of thepeople at all times, describing his administration as people oriented.

Speaking on behalf of the community, Dr. Frank Iloeje pledged the loyalty and support of the people of the community to Governor Ugwuanyi’s administration.

He applauded the governor’s mass road infrastructural development within a short period in office despite the economic meltdown in the country.

He added that the state will be taken to the next level if theon-going development in all sectors by Governor Ugwuanyi’s administration are sustained.

Dr. Iloeje on behalf of the people appealed to the governor to include Amokwe community in his on-going massive road construction and re-construction in the state.
