President Muhammadu Buhari has removed Mrs Ibim Semenitari as acting Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
In a letter he sent to the Senate President Bukola Saraki on Wednesday, the president sought approval for the former Deputy Governor of Akwa-Ibom State, Mr. Nsima Ekere as the new Managing Director of the Commission.
The president also appointed former Senate Leader, Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba, as NDDC Chairman.
Semenitari has been the acting Managing Director of the NDDC since December 21, 2015.
The Senate President is expected to read the president’s letter on the appointments tomorrow.
