Ademola announced his decision to withdraw from the trial before the court on Tuesday, hinging the reason for his action on the allegations of corruption leveled against him by the DSS, which is the prosecution in the case.

However, the judge had written to the Chief Justice of Nigeria, seeking a leave to sue the DSS over what his claim that he was being harassed and intimidated by the DSS for granting bail to Dasuki and the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu.
