Former Head of State and presidential aspirant on the platform of All Progressives Congress, APC, Gen. Mohammadu Buhari, yesterday, returned his completed nomination form to the party secretariat.
At a very brief ceremony that followed, Buhari expressed gratitude to the leadership of the party led by its national chairman, Mr. John Oyegun for receiving him.
He also reacted to the fracas at the National Assembly last week, saying that the police had no right to fire tear gas at the lawmakers.
He said: “It is a distressing situation where those who are supposed to protect the constitution are the ones that are undermining it.
“The House of Representatives and the Senate are sacred places, they shouldn’t go there as members of law enforcement agencies much less fire teargas. By doing so, they are undermining the Constitution.”
My President sir!
