Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, led chieftains of the party to the residence of former President Goodluck Jonathan on Tuesday.
Among those who visited the former president were Senator Kashim Shettima, APC Vice-Presidential candidate, and five Governors.
The governors are Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq (Kwara), Bello Matawale (Zamfara), Atiku Bagudu (Kebbi), Simon Lalong (Plateau) and Dapo Abiodun (Ogun).
Tinubu simply said he was on a courtesy visit to the former President being a former leader and one of the critical stakeholders in the Nigeria Project.
He also said he told Jonathan of his presidential ambition and to seek the support of his host.
The APC made history by unseating Jonathan in 2015, the first time that an opposition party would defeat an incumbent president.
In the build-up to the 2015 election, the APC stopped at nothing to demarket Jonathan and his government.
