The Executive Secretary of the Gombe State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) has disclosed that five pregnant women delivered within the week at the temporary camp for Internally Displaced Persons (IDP’s) in Gombe.
Speaking with journalists yesterday,
Dr. Danlami Arabs Rukujei said that out of the five, two women had sets of twins while 35 other deliveries are expected any moment, adding that all the five women and their babies delivered at the Madi Memorial Hospital and Pantami Maternity Clinic all in Gombe metropolis were in good health.
He stated that SEMA in conjunction with the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) were closely monitoring the other 35 other women who may soon put to bed while they also receive medical attention.
