[BREAKING] Elections reorder: Senate northern caucus sacks Adamu

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Abdullahi Adamu has charged its National Working Committee, NWC, and stakeholders of the party to do everything possible within the law to win the Osun Governorship election scheduled for the 16th of July.

Adamu made this appeal when he inaugurated the party’s National campaign council at the National Secretariat of the party in Abuja, stating that the party must be prepared to face eyeball to eyeball “all the forces struggling to stop the APC from winning the poll just like the party did in Ekiti last week where it defeated other parties to emerged victorious.”

The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and his counterpart in Kano, Dr. Ibrahim Ganduje are to serve as chairman and Co-Chair of the National Campaign Council of the party.

He said “We must be prepared to face him eyeball to eyeball. There is no sparing for any reason whatsoever, no sparing his party, the PDP. We are going there to win by the grace of God. That plan to win, the ability to execute the plan is with the leadership that this council is going to provide in the campaign efforts.

“I urge you to leave no stone unturned. I urge you to go there and do whatever is doable within the laws of Nigeria and our electoral laws to win. My tolerance level and this national working committee level for failure is zero.

“Most of you have been statesmen in your own right, the offices you held before today, but for this exercise take off the big guns take off the creepy suits were, and go down the trench and bring that victory we want.

“No apologies to anybody, we are the party of government, we are the party ruling the country today. The reality is Nigerians chose APC and we’ll do everything we can to retain this position of envy. Now, we have determined as a party, who will be our flag bearer in the forthcoming presidential election in 2023.

“Nobody should come back to us crying. Failure is not our own by the grace of God. Whatever it takes within the laws of the land, I said go for it, win the election. Let them go complain let them go wherever, let’s win the election, we have no apologies whatsoever for this posture because these two elections are for best to the national election coming up in 2003”, he stated.

He commended members of the party for the last week’s victory in Ekiti State, advising members and stakeholders of the party to remain vigilant so that the party can replicate what it did in Ekiti State.

“You will recall that just about a week ago, faced the challenge that was posed by the governorship election of Ekiti state and with God’s grace, we were able to scale with flying colors it wasn’t by the divine grace of our Creator mighty God. The next huddle we have is to confront with all vigor with all strength that we can monster for the forthcoming Osun governorship election. It wasn’t easy, but I want to get every one of us to be on the ready Osun will be more difficult for us.

“Because one ocean is bigger by population bigger by a number of local government and every local government have a unique characteristics problems that we will face. We are told the opposing candidate for the election battle has a money bag, but it’s not our business today how he made the money. But how he is making the money. He is organized as a money bag.

“It will go in our credentials that we have the winning track record this National Working Committee that you elected we commit. What we mean by the commitment is the 2023 general election is facing us. We have to face it squarely. There’s no option to winning the national election and these state elections are like I said forebears to the national election. we must show those who love us by showing those who are our adversaries in the strongest possible way that we are in control.

“We have chief Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as our presidential candidate you all know that. No these elections are the first steps, we are taking towards victory in 2023 we must not play with this, we start preparing for these now. The challenge, everybody’s arrow is pointing at us, so we must show our capacity to bear the pressure and move out forces forward to victory.

” We are winning the battle of the states, but the real war to be won is the presidential election in 2023. And I do hope that we will not spare efforts to ensure that we come back victorious. Now it is my privilege as the national chairman to formally inaugurate the members of the Campaign Council, as spelled out one by one”, he explained.
