Fidelity Bank Plc has reiterated its commitment to education development in the country.
The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the bank, Mr. Nnamdi Okonkwo, stated in Lagos during the first electronic draw of the promo in which seven winners emerged nationwide that the lender was poised to take the burden of school fees payment off the shoulders of parents through its Save 4 Scholarship promo.
He added that the bank would always embark on programmes that were paramount to customers nationwide, adding that the promo would promote the culture of savings, among other benefits.
The electronic draw was carried out in the presence of the officials of the Nigerian Lottery Commission, Consumer Protection Agency and some journalists.
The CEO, who was represented by the Executive Director, Shared Services, Mrs. Chijioke Ugochukwu, said, “There is no government which does not take education as a pillar of its developmental objectives for its people. At Fidelity Bank, we always find a way of putting ourselves in tune with the needs of our customers and also align our objectives with those of government both at the federal and state levels.
“Today, we are going to conduct the first Lagos promo draw. In the course of the six months the promo will run, we will be giving out N80m to 200 people.”
