It was excitement galore on August 19, 2015 as another set of 646 customers of First City Monument Bank (FCMB) Limited smiled home with various amounts of cash and other fantastic gifts at the grand finale draws of the bank’s Millionaire Promo. Following this development and the huge success recorded during the cause of the reward scheme, which commenced in February this year, the Bank has announced an extension of the promo till January 2016.

At the end of the grand finale of the promo, three lucky customers of the Bank were each rewarded with the star prize of N5million, while three others won N1million each at the Regional draws held in Lagos, Uyo (Akwa Ibom state) and Abuja.

A total of 640 other  account holders went home with LED televisions, generating sets, decoders, tablets, smart phones and other consolation prizes at the Zonal draws held in different parts of the country. The winners emerged at the electronic selection exercise which took place across the 3 Regions and 25 zones of the Bank nationwide.

In all a total of 1,932 winners emerged during the FCMB Millionaire Promo through the three draws conducted in April, June and the grand finale in August.

Speaking on the promo, FCMB’s Regional Director, Lagos and South West Zone, Mrs Bukola Smith stated that with the grand finale of the draws held nationwide, the Bank  had fulfilled the promise it made to customers to reward those who participated and qualified in the anniversary promo.

‘’We are encouraged by the huge excitement and participation the Millionaire Promo has received. Beyond the various prizes that we provided to the winners, the fact that the promo has availed us an opportunity to encourage savings culture, financial inclusion and empower the winners is very exciting, Mrs. Smith stated. She therefore urged existing and potential customers of the Bank to partake in the next round of the promo which has started in earnest.

While congratulating all the winners, the Regional Director urged them to utilize their winnings wisely and sustain savings culture. According to her, the Bank will continue to scale up its level of service delivery and empowerment of customers in line with its leading position as an inclusive lender and value as a simple, reliable and helpful financial institution.

To participate in the FCMB Millionaire Promo draws, all an existing or new customer of the Bank needs to do is to Save N10,000.00 in any of the eligible savings account of his or her choice for 30 days to qualify for the electronic selection of winners where the star prize of N1million and other fantastic prizes will be won.  Multiple savings of N10,000.00 will increase chances of winning.

The Divisional Police Officer of Ogudu, Lagos State who attended the event, Mrs Chioma Ajunw-Oparah in her remark called the FCMB Millionaire Promo an opportunity deliberately created by the Bank for poverty alleviation, saying that First City Monument Bank had shown a lot of magnanimity on its part as a financial institution with human feelings and care.

She said  “this is the kind of thing done in a manner  with transparency you can only find abroad. I am opening my own account here now” the Chief Superintendent of Police said. Mrs Ajunwa-Oparah commended FCMB for the gesture, and the Lottery Commission for its efficient regulatory supervision, calling on the Bank’s customers to remain faithful and continue to show loyalty to FCMB, and the general public to seize the opportunity to open accounts with the Bank she had described to have endured, very serious and committed to its services and in customer relations.

To qualify for the grand finale draws in January 2015, where another set of three customers will each receive N5million, existing and new customers are to save N50,000.00 in any of the eligible accounts for 30 days. Multiple savings of N50,000.00 increases winning chances.

First City Monument Bank (FCMB) Limited is a member of FCMB Group Plc, which is one of the leading financial services institutions in Nigeria with subsidiaries that are market leaders in their respective segments. Having successfully transformed to a retail and commercial banking-led group, FCMB expects to continue to distinguish itself by delivering exceptional services, while enhancing the growth and achievement of personal and business aspirations of its customers.
