The Chairman, Adhoc Committee on Media and Publicity in the House of Representatives, Hon. Sani Zorro (Jigawa APC) on Thursday publicly released details of his assets.
A statement containing the details listed his properties to include two residential houses in Kano and another one in Jigawa, four undeveloped plots of land in Jigawa, and one in Kano, and one farmland each in Kano and Jigawa.
“One Jaguar saloon car, two Chrysler Liberty Jeeps, one Chrysler Pacifica family bus, One Ford Escort,” it read.
He also declared shares in food and media sector.
The lawmaker said his public declaration is part of his commitment to the anti-corruption crusade of President Buhari, which others “should consider and copy.”
Zorro, representing Gumel/Gagarawa/Mai Gatari/Sule/Tankarkar Federal Constituency is the second federal legislator in the current assembly to publicise his assets, after Senator Shehu Sani (Kaduna APC).
Meanwhile, the Lawmaker representing Etsako Federal Constituency of Edo state, Hon. Phillip Shuaibu (APC) has urged the National Assembly to include a clause that would mandate public officials to publicly declare their assets.
