The Senate has confirmed the appointment of Justice Walter Onnoghen as the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN).
The confirmation came after a screening exercise conducted for the nominee by the Committee of the Whole.
President of the Senate, Senator Bukola Saraki, has congratulated the new CJN on his appointment.
