Following the suspension of judges for alleged corruption, Delta State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, Chief Sunny Onuesoke, has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to equally suspend Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi, and Ministry of Science and Technology, Ogbonnaya Onu, for being alleged to have perverted the course of justice.
He said the government that claims to be fighting war on anti-corruption should use the suspension of the ministers as an example of its efforts to the world.
Onuesoke, who made the call in Kaduna while addressing journalists, said it was improper that the APC government should allow Amaechi and Onu, accused by two of the seven judges of trying to influence judgements, to remain in the cabinet.
He said in order to allow for a fair and independent investigation, Buhari should ask the ministers to step aside, adding that the judiciary has set a very good example in its quest to fight corruption by taking this bold step by ordering the judges to step down.
The PDP leader said the two ministers should not be treated as being above the law.
