Afenifere rejects presidential poll results

The pan-Yoruba socio-political organisation, Afenifere, has described the outcome of the presidential election as sad news to Nigerians.

In his reaction to the development on Wednesday in Akure, the Ondo State capital, the leader of the group, Pa Reuben Fasoranti, said the result of the election declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) was not acceptable to the majority of Nigerians.

He said, “From what we are hearing, they are manipulating the result especially in the Northern part of the country.

“To that extent, the election and the outcome lack credibility and Nigerians should look at it like that.”
