APC stalwart, Comrade Albert Ehigaleh, has condemned the gruesome killings at the Catholic church at Owo, in Ondo State last Sunday.
The comrade leader, In an interview blamed the security agents for the incessant killings in the country.
According to him, “the security agents were handling the killings in the country with levity”.
“If nothing is done swiftly, the Nigerian State may degenerate into anarchy, chaos and disorder in which every region may be force to defend itself with arms against these bandits”, he warned.
Ehigaleh stated that the recent killing of over 40 persons including women and children inside the church was an indication the bandits did not want peace, and as such must be resisted vehemently.
The APC Stalwart added that “it is time for genuine decisive action to be taken on the matter.
He warned the bandits to stay away from the entire Southern Nigeria.
The APC stalwart added the battle against banditry required tenacity and doggedness.
He said he would support every cause towards the eradication of banditry just as he and Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, Comrade IG, Comrade George Olukayode and others championed and fought side by side with Comrade George Olukayode, Comrade Fortune Olorunfemi, Comrade Olumide Bakare and brought unionism to Promasidor company.
He said that the action led to their dismissal from work for over a year.
He reminisced that he did not regret the fallout as the bold unionist move earned him the title of comrade leader.
He however added that the dismissed workers were later recalled courtesy of the then Minister of Labour and Productivity, Barr. Adetokunbo Olukayode’s involvement.
When asked about his subsequent dismissal from work for union-related issues, the comrade declined to elaborate, but mentioned that some colleagues were responsible for his travails.
Speaking on the 2023 elections and his relationship with the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential flagbearer, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the comrade explained that Tinubu was his political godfather and he would always be loyal to him.
In his final remarks, he congratulated his mentor, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for his emergence as the APC presidential Flag bearer, and called on all well-meaning Nigerians to throw their support behind the ‘Jagaban of Lagos’.
He also saluted the President and Commander in Chief, Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Muhammed Buhari (GCFR), Senate President Lawal Ahmed, Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba, the families of the bereaved, the people of Ondo State, and Nigerians in General, wishing them a successful forth-coming national elections.
