Adekeyin disclosed that 44,480 voters were registered although only 18,817 voters were accredited for the election while total votes cast was put at 17,662.

In Saki East, Dr Kolawole Falade, the collation officer for the conduct of the election in the area announced PDP the winner of the poll.

According to Falade, PDP polled 5,883 votes to lead APC which scored 5,730 votes.

PDP also defeated APC in Kajola and Ibarapa North local government area with 12,282 and 9,070 votes respectively, according to Prof. Jacob Olaniyi and Abiodun Sanusi, the collation officers for the respective local government areas.

The duo announced 11,665 and 6,587 as votes scored by APC in Kajola and Ibarapa North respectively.

Sanusi, however, said that there were three cases of votes cancellation in three polling units in Ward 10 in Ibarapa local government area due to over voting and other issues.

The state collation and announcement of the presidential election was still ongoing as at the time of filing this report.

Also, the PDP has taken an early lead in Imo as the announcement of results continues in the state on Sunday by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The results of the Presidential and National Assembly elections are currently being collated at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Owerri.
