U.S. comedian Chris Rock began his “Ego Death Tour” in Boston Massachusetts yesterday.
The comedy shows at The Wilbur Theatre were listed as sold out on a number of ticket marketplaces, including TicketMaster and the theater’s website.
Tickets are now exchanging hands at higher rates.
The two shows yesterday were his first public appearance since he was slapped by Will Smith on stage during Sunday’s Academy Awards show.
Rock’s first show began at 7 p.m. ET and the second at 10 p.m. ET.
Rock is also scheduled to appear at the Wilbur Theatre on March 31 and April 1, with two shows nightly.
Those shows are also sold out.
Rock’s appearance Wednesday night comes as ticket sales for his comedy shows have continued to increase after he was slapped by Smith on stage at the 94th Academy Awards following a joke about Smith’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith. – Agency report.
