Court bailiffs accompanied by security agents have sealed off the office of Newswatch magazine owned by entrepreneur and Chief Executive Officer of Energy Group, Jimoh Ibrahim.
Eagle Online reported that the bailiffs took away computers and other equipment from the media office in Lagos on Friday.
The magazine has been a source of litigation between Ibrahim and its founders – Ray Ekpu, Dan Agbese, Yakubu Mohammed and Soji Akinrinade – who are contesting the ownership of the company with him.
A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos, had in October 2014 nullified Ibrahim’s ownership of Newswatch Communications Limited, publishers of Newswatch publications by quashing a Share Purchase Agreement, which transferred ownership of the newsmagazine to him.
