A total of 41 customers will be rewarded with N25 million and a brand new SUV by Diamond Bank Plc in its DiamondXtra Season 8 South-West Regional draw on April 28, 2016 in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

According to information made available to the press, the draw will be held in line with a new directorate structure created by the Bank to enhance penetration of its services across the country.

The DiamondXtra Draw, which is in its eighth season, has come a long way in impacting the lives of new and existing customers of the Bank that had participated in the promo over the years.

The DiamondXtra Draw is a unique customer reward scheme tied to the DiamondXtra account proposition which aims at promoting savings culture among Nigerians by rewarding them for saving.

According to Ayona Trimnell, Head, Corporate Communications Division of the Bank, Diamond Bank is very passionate about the benefits of financial inclusion, noting that bringing the unbanked into the banking system and making them to save and plan for the future is what sustains any economy.

“In this Season 8, Diamond Bank will create more millionaires in Nigeria by empowering them with the resources to change their lives and, also, be active participators in the economy. One of the winners would be rewarded with a brand new SUV. That is how much we value our customers”.

According to her, with a deposit balance of only N5, 000.00 (five thousand naira) a customer is qualified to participate in the draw and multiples of that amount increases the customers chances of winning.

The initiative was launched in July 2008 and has rewarded more than 4,000 Nigerians with a cumulative cash reward of more than N4 billion.

The Season 8 edition promises to be more rewarding as the Bank has reaffirmed its commitment to empower a total of 1,085 customers with over N600 million.

Beginning from April 1, 2016 every new and existing customer of Diamond Bank Plc in the South-East who saves a minimum of N5, 000.00 (five thousand naira) in a DiamondXtra account will stand a chance to win the star prize of a brand new SUV; 10 customers will win N1m (one million naira) each and 30 others will win N500,000.00 (five hundred thousand naira) each.

A customer stands a better chance of winning if he or she saves more because every N5, 000.00 in the account of a customer represents one entry ticket into the draws.

In addition to this special region-based draw, customers will also qualify for the regular monthly draws where the luckiest customer will win Salary4life, another customer will win N2 million while 13 customers will win N1million (one million naira) each.

According to Aisha Ahmad, Divisional Head, Consumer and Privilege Banking, DiamondXtra was launched to reward loyal customers, both old and new.

“The reward scheme is integrated into the DiamondXtra proposition so every customer on the DiamondXtra account has equal opportunity of winning through the transparent electronic draws. We would like to reassure all our loyal customers that Diamond Bank will constantly seek robust platforms like this to enrich them,” Ahmad said.

She added that the regional draws were an exciting new addition to the DiamondXtra Season 8 because it would help to increase the number of beneficiaries while penetrating deeper into these areas. It is unique because only customers within a particular directorate can participate.

The directorates are grouped into different regions like the South East, West, Lagos, North and South–South. The South East region is made up of Imo, Enugu, Anambra and Abia states, and the final draws would be in one of the states in the South East.
