“This is a victory for democracy. It shows that God has endorsed Ugwuanyi to continue the existing good governance established by Gov Chime,’’ he said.
On his part, an Enugu based politician, Mr Kizito Aniagolu described the judgment as “ divine intervention for the good people of Enugu State.’’
“Today, God has announced His judgment that Hon.Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi and Mrs Cecilla Ezeilo are the authentic governorship flag bearers of the PDP in Enugu State,’’ he said.
Mrs Nkem Onyema, Enugu State Coordinator of Women for Change and Initiative, an NGO, said the judgment would bring peace and tranquility to the state.
“This judgment is the decision of the people of Enugu State and the voice of the people is the voice of God. We are happy for this judgment.

Sen. Ayogu Eze of the PDP had filed a suit with reference number FHC/ABJ/CS/2014, before the court challenging the nomination of Ugwuanyi as the governorship candidate of the party for the April 11 governorship election in Enugu State.
He prayed the court to restrain the PDP, its National Working Committee and INEC from recognising any other candidate other than himself as “the duly elected governorship candidate’’ of the party during the primary. (NAN)
