Godsday Orubebe, a former Minister for Niger Delta Affairs under former President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration has resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
In his resignation letter made available to newsmen on Sunday, Orubebe cited the emergence of Atiku Abubakar as the PDP presidential candidate for the 2023 elections as the reason for his withdrawal from the party.
He also lamented the the ill-treatment of Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike by the party and commended him for his “effort and gallantry at the party’s primaries”.
