Ekiti State governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose, has hailed the international community, especially the United States of America and the United Kingdom for joining lovers of democracy in Nigeria to speak out against the All Progressives Congress (APC) government of President Muhammadu Buhari’s use of state security apparatus to oppress opposition.
He called on the British government to investigate the allegation of the use of British foreign aid given to Nigeria to help combat Boko Haram terrorists to fund a witch-hunt against opposition politicians with a view to preventing continuous use of funds belonging to the country wrongly.
Speaking through his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, Governor Fayose said the international community must focus attention on Nigeria under President Buhari, saying, “rights of Nigerians are now being trampled upon with impunity.”
