Organisers of the forthcoming ‘Warri Again: The Flagship’ show to mark this year’s Independence Day celebration, Brownhill Events Centre, during the week released the list of top Nigerian music stars who will be performing alongside their American counterparts, Ja Rule, and R&B singer, Ashanti at the one-stop event.
They include, queen of songs, Tiwa Savage, Davido, Flavour, Oritsefemi, Yemi Alade, Patoranking, Olamide, Wizkid, Iyanya, Dr Sid, Harrysong, Ice Prince, Daddy Showkey and Seyi Shay.
Others are top comedians including AY, Bovi, Buchi, I GoDye, Basketmouth, Okey Bakasi, Gordons, I Go Save, Funny Bone, Buchi, Baba Kome and Frank De Don.
Whereas DJ Xclusive and Explicit Dance Crew will be handling the entertainment stuff, the show will be anchored by ace-comedian Ali Baba and Omawumi, with a guest appearance by Don Jazzy. Denrele Edun and Eku Edewor will host the red carpet.
Shading more light on the show, Managing Partner/CEO of Brownhill Events Centre, Mrs Julie Pinnick said, ‘Warri Again’ is a show aimed at rebranding Warri and making it a destination for entertainment.
“We can use entertainment to drive social and commerical activities in Warri. Before we started the show, people used to look at Warri from a negative perspective. I am happy that people are beginning to acquaint themselves with what Warri really stands for; peace, hospitality and warmth. The forthcoming show, I can tell you will be the biggest show ever to be organised in Africa. The vision is to keep using entertainment to drive the economy of Warri, she added.
