The victims were said to have died of suffocation at the time the generator was working.

It was learnt that the two children aged 10 and five months- old were laid on the couch in the sitting room while the adults were watching the game late in the night.
An eyewitness and a brother to the land lord of the house who refused to disclose his name told our correspondent that the small generator popularly known as ‘I better pass my neighbour’’, was kept very close to the entrance of their one room rented apartment before the incident.
He said, “We did not know that something has happened in the night but when we woke up early in the morning, we discovered that their door was half open with no sign of life. My brother then peeped and discovered that they were all dead.
Our correspondent observed that many residents in the area had been relying solely on generators whenever the area is thrown into darkness. Leadership
