Kaduna state introduces initiative to aid farmers

Kaduna State government has introduced a new initiative known as value kits to support rural farmers, boost their agricultural yields and enhance agricultural growth in the state

The Commissioner for Rural and Community Development, Hassan Mahmood explained that the value kits contained improved maize and soya beans seeds, herbicides, insecticides as well as fertilizers.

“That is the reason why we distribute the kits to three rural communities in order to enhance yield of quality farm produce. We plan to scale up the programme to the entire state,” he said.

He urged beneficiaries to ensure the success of the programme adhere by the obeying the rules guiding the new initiative.
