The Transformation Ambassadors of Nigeria TAN has described the N21.27Billion campaign funds raised by supporters of President Goodluck Jonathan re-election bid as a mark of the acceptability and popularity of the President by Nigerians, noting that the amount cannot be questioned considering the huge support base of the President.
TAN, in a statement which was made available to newsmen in Awka yesterday, said the huge donation came as no surprise since Jonathan is popular across the six geopolitical zones of the country.
According to the statement, TAN has empirical information/evidence on the overwhelming support the President enjoys across genders, age bracket, class, xsocial and political divides.
TAN noted, “Going by our records, supporters of Mr. President if adequately sensitized and mobilised can donate much more than the said amount raised at Abuja for the presidential campaigns expenses.”
The Statement however gave kudos to the donors and called on all Nigerians to support the re-election of Jonathan and ensure that they obtain the Permanent Voters Card (PVC) to enable them vote next year.
I agree, they will donate more as further increment is made in subsidy and bail out funds paid to them and their company! Even power sector that is giving sub-optimal performance and service donated from the 210b counterpart funds. What a country of criminals. Why is it so difficult to donate massively in such manner to the IDPs that litters our country space.
You need to have human compassion to be able to give to IDPs, don’t you get it?
