Anambra State governor, Chief Willie Obiano yesterday swore in 19 new commissioners and 10 Special Advisers.
Those sworn in are Chief Tony Onyinma ( Information) and Dr Chinedu Emeka ( Water and Public Utilities.) Two former commissioners in Gov. Peter Obi’s administration including Mr. Callistus Ilozumba and Mrs. Azuka Enemuo were retained in their former portfolios in the Ministry of Works and Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, respectively.
Others are Chief Tony Nnacheta ( Sports); Prof. Kate Emenugha (Education); Mr. Chude Anali (Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice); Mr. Gregory Obi (Finance); Mrs. Florence Chinwuba (Housing); Prof. Solomon Chukwu (Economic Planning and Budget); Ifeatu Onyejeme (Trade and Commerce)
The rest are Ricky Chukwumelu (Women Affairs); Chukwuma Mbonu (Transport);
Mr. Evaristus Ubah (Environment); Stella Onuorah (Land); Norbert Obi (Special
Duties); Dr Josephat Akabuike (Health); Nnamdi Meko (Agriculture) and Osita
Obinwankwo (Science and Technology).
The new Special Advisers and their portfolios include are Chief Joe Martins Uzodike (Political Matters); Alex Ejesieme (Legal Counsel and Litigation); Anthonia Tabansi-Okoye (Special Duties); O.I. Udemba (Chieftaincy and Town Unions) and Amechi Okwume (Urban Development/Town Planning).
Others are Vivian Nwandu (MDGs); Amaka Ilobi (Public Works); Ngozi
Okonkwo (IGR); Chief Chikodi Anagha (Security) and Onyekachukwu Ibezim (Youth Empowerment).
The oath of allegiance and office was administered to the new commissioners by the state Solicitor General, Mrs. Tina Emekekwe
Speaking at the event, the governor said he was confident that they would deliver on their duties.
