Nigeria’s Super Falcons duo Asisat Oshoala, Chiamaka Nnadozie and head coach Randy Waldrum made the final cut in the different categories in the 2023 CAF Women’s award.
Oshoala and Nnadozie are included in the final 10 shortlist for the Women’s Player of the Year category.
In the Goalkeeper of the Year award category, Nnadozie is also in the final five left.
Falcons American handler Waldrum is in the running in the final five for the Coach of the Year.
For the Women’s Young Player category, Nigeria is represented by Deborah Abiodun and Opeyemi Ajakaye.
Also, Nigeria will battle Morocco, Senegal, South Africa and Zambia for the National Team of the Year award.
The winner of each category will be decided after votes from a voting panel consisting of CAF Technical Committee, media professionals from Member Associations, Head Coaches & Captains of Member Associations and clubs involved in the group stages of the Interclub competitions.
The Awards Gala will take place on Monday, 11 December 2023, at the Palais des Congrès, Movenpick, Marrakech, Morocco.
