Residents of Dutse-Alhaji in Abuja on Sunday, January 12 witnessed a police raid on bisexuals in a hidden brothel within the neighborhood.
The brothel, which was said to be owned by a prominent retired ex-Naval officer, allegedly harboured hoodlums, criminal gangs and bisexuals, according to an eye witness, Kayode Mohammed.
The Police arrested 15 persons during the raid at the brothel.
The Police disclosed some of the arrested had already confessed to being bisexual, while some others confessed as cultists.
However, two of the arrested persons, Mr. Audu Salem and Mr. Ige Danladi, have denied being bisexuals.
Both Audu and Ige stated that they went to the brothel to relax.
Meanwhile, some of the arrested persons had already mentioned names of their alleged partners.
Dickson Tairu, who was arrested, mentioned Mr. Yusuf Umar as his partner.
Another arrested person, Mr. Toochi Iwu confessed to being sexually involved with Mr. Ike Odinna whom he said was currently remanded at Kuje prison in Abuja.
He also confessed to being sexual partners with Mr. Chijioke Ugbor-Abosi and Mr. Ikenna Okechukwu.
Mr. Oladokun Tobiloba, confessed to being sexually involved with Francis Durotimi and Mr. Femi Adelami.
Tairu added that some clubs within Dutse-Alhaji area were hang out spots for bisexuals.
The Police have however disclosed that some alleged partners of the arrested persons have fled the country to evade arrest and remained at large.
The Force said it was committed to ensuring that the LGBTQ members werre flushed out and made to face the full wrath of the law.
The police also added that the brothel had been shut down indefinitely.
The Nigerian law prohibits same-sex relationships and punishable by 14 years imprisonment.
The law prohibiting same sex relationships was introduced in 2014 by the then President Goodluck Jonathan.
