Warri Wolves recorded their first away win on Sunday after beating Abia Warriors 1-0 at the Umuahia Township Stadium in the Nigeria Professional Football League.
The Seasiders now sit atop the table with 17 points in nine games.
Wolves, who lost their last away game to Dolphins in Port Harcourt, started the game with their star striker Gbolahan Salami on the bench, but they still went on to win courtesy of the 22nd minute goal was scored by Austine Amutu.
It was drama at the Lafia City Stadium as Nassarawa United defeated Dolphins 2-1 in a game which saw two Dolphins players sent off. Xavier was sent off for a second bookable offence, while Tijani was given a straight red card for dissent. Both cards were in the second half of the game.

In Uyo, Akwa United came back from two goals down to play 2-2 against Sunshine Stars, but Lobi Stars held on to their lead as they defeated Kano Pillars 2-0 in Makurdi.
Sharks beat El Kanemi Warriors 2-0 in Port Harcourt and Gombe United also got a 1-0 home win against Kaduna United.
On Saturday, Enyimba lost 1-0 to Heartland courtesy of an 89th minute goal from Saibou Badarou.
The match between Bayelsa United and Giwa FC was postponed due to Bayelsa’s involvement in the CAF Confederation Cup against Sewe Sport United of Ivory coast. Bayelsa eventually crashed out of the competition.
