Access Bank plc, in partnership with Visa, is to sponsor customers who won in the promo campaign to watch the World Cup live in Brazil.
The all-expense paid trip include free ticket to Brazil, meet and greet service upon arrival at the airport, daily breakfast, group activity/tour on day three of the programme and off-site dinner on day three of the programme.
After an electronic draw held in the bank’s corporate head office in Lagos, five winners emerged from a pool of qualified cardholders who used their Visa card at least 14 times in March and/or April 2014, respectively, on the internet, domestic PoS or international PoS terminals.
The five winners are Akinyelure Bimbo, Ewo Valentine Junior, Sale Ibrahim Ladan, Anthony Oluwaseun, and Chigbo Ebuka Okwudili.
“In partnership with Visa International, we decided that the world cup is an opportunity to reward our customers for the business that they have done with us. They’ve helped us grow our volumes, we have provided them excellent services and they have continued to use us. We want our customers to remain loyal to us because we are in competitive environment,” Justin Ijeh, head of cards and products, Access Bank, said at the draw programme.
He said the bank will cater for their travel to and from Brazil for three days at all expense paid. “Each winner has a return ticket for two. The trip is for three days, they will arrive a day before the match and they will leave a day after. For this period, we will be responsible for their stay in Brazil,” he said.
Speaking at the event, Emezino Afiegbe, business development manager, West Africa for Visa, said “FIFA has been in a partnership with Visa for a number of years,” explaining that the union between FIFA, Visa and Access Bank was a deliberate one that had aspiration to drive financial inclusion.
