The Unity Forum, a faction of the APC in Taraba State, has rejected Alhaji Abdulmumini Vaki who was sworn in as state chairman of the party in Abuja.
The Publicity Secretary of the forum, Mr. Aaron Artimas, said in an interview with Daily Trust that the APC National Chairman, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, acted on his own by swearing in Alhaji Vaki when he fully knew that the person he swore in was not the popular choice of majority APC members in Taraba.
Mr. Artimas explained that election was held during the state congress in Jalingo and Barrister Ibrahim El-Sudi was duly elected and endorsed by national officers sent to supervise the congress.
He said the national chairman of APC was leading the party as a one-man show as he exhibited in swearing Alhaji Vaki without the consent of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party, adding that the Unity Forum in Taraba had lost confidence in Mr. Oyegun.
