…tells aggrieved parties to wait for election

Nigeria’s Pillar of Sports, Chief Donatus Agu Ejidike, JP has advised the Federal Ministry of Sports and other football stakeholders in the country to come together as one and save Nigerian football from a state of collapse.

Ejidike gave the advice in Ilorin yesterday while speaking with Pilot Sports on the latest crisis rocking the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

The former President, Nigeria Karate Federation and Kwara Pillar of Sports believed that football remained a global phenomenon, in which Nigeria cannot operate in isolation.

He called on the aggrieved parties to come together and settle their grievances in the interest of the nation.

He advised all the parties to wait till Sepember when the election would hold in Katsina.

“I want to advise all the aggrieved parties to wait till the date of election, which is September and who ever emerges should take over the leadership of the glass house,” Ejidike advised.

Meanwhile, Chief Ejidike has advised the Nigeria Football Federation to start earely preparation for 2022 FIFA World Cup for the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

The sports philanthropist, who critically analysed the performance of the Super Eagles said the Nigeria football house should learn from Russia 2018 mistakes to prepare for 2022 edition.

“Nigeria should build a stronger team that will deliver at any opportunity. We must also look beyond now and build a virile squad that will win the African Cup of Nations as well as make a remarkable impact at the next World Cup in the year 2022.”
