The Nigeria Football Supporters Club (NFSC) have sent its heartfelt condolences to the Police Machine team over the death of two of its female players, Aniebiet Ekong and Glory Saturday.
The two players were killed by a hit-and-run driver Tuesday evening, in Uyo, Akwa Ibom, while returning from training.
The NFSC National Chairman, Rev. Samuel Ikpea, described the death as unfortunate and shocking.
“This is a sad, shocking and unfortunate death. To lose two young and talented female footballers in such a manner is saddening and truly bad. That their lives was rudely terminated by the hit-and-run driver is also regrettable,” the football enthusiast lamented.
“On behalf of myself, the executive and members of NFSC, at home and indiaspora, we pray that God grant families and friends of the deceased, as well as the Police Machine team and the football community, the strength and fortitude to bear these losses,” he prayed solemnly.
