A 22-year-old lady, Oluwabamise Ayanwole, who got missing after boarding a Lagos Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) vehicle, has been found dead.
This was announced by a Twitter user @akinfikemi on Monday.
According to Akinfikemi, the victim’s brother was invited to Ebute Ero Police Station on Monday morning to identify the corpse of late Bamise.
“Update: Bamise’s brother was at Ebute Ero Police Station this morning to confirm and when he was shown a picture of the body, he affirmed that it was his sister’s. He is on the way to the mortuary to identify the body,” she tweeted.
Recall that there had been an outrage from the public after it was annouced that Bamise went missing after boarding a BRT bus from Chevron busstop enroute Oshodi.
The deceased was reported to have sent voice notes to her friend, worried about her safety after the bus driver had refused to stop at any busstop to pick more passengers.
A viral video recorded by Bamise also showed that the bus was dark and empty, asides three other passengers who were on it alonsgide the deceased.
