An All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Pa Bello Balogun, has lauded President Bola Tinubu for appointing Mr. Tunji Disu as the acting Inspector-General of Police (IGP).
Tunji Disu assumed office in February as the 23rd IGP following the resignation of Kayode Egbetokun, the immediate-past police chief.
Pa Bello Balogun stated in Ologunerun, Oyo State, that his personal relationship with Mr. Disu, helped him discern his thoroughness and professionalism.
Pa Bello thanked President Tinubu for swiftly appointing Mr. Disu, assuring him and Nigerians in general that the new IGP would do the country proud.
According to the APC Chieftain, Mr. Disu’s extensive experience in crime management positioned him for the immense task of curbing insecurity across the country.
Pa Bello expressed confidence that the new acting IGP’s previous strategic postings and educational background would be invaluable in his new role as the chief of the Nigeria Police Force.
The APC chieftain enjoined Mr. Disu to reposition the Nigeria Police to meet international policing standards.
He urged the acting IGP to bring his expertise to use at this perilous moment in the country’s political history tbycombating terrorism and protecting lives and property of Nigerians.
Pa Bello also called for national unity in supporting President Tinubu’s progressive socio-economic development agenda ahead of the 2027 elections.
In his final remark, the APC chieftain saluted his brother and friend, Femi Gbajabiamila, Chief of Staff to the President, thanking him for his support and commitment in leading Nigeria on the right track.
Pa Bello also applauded Nigerians for believing and trusting in the agenda of President Tinubu and the All Progressive Congress (APC) Renewed Hope Agenda, promising Nigeria and Nigerians that the party would never betray them.
