A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ewossa community in Edo State, Chief Idemudia Agbonjiazoe, has lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the appointment of Mr. Taiwo Oyedele as the new Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy.
Oyedele’s appointment was announced in a statement by the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation on Tuesday.
Reacting to the development, Chief Agbonjiazoe described the appointment as a well-deserved recognition of Oyedele’s expertise and commitment to national development.
The APC Chieftain said the move further demonstrated President Tinubu’s commitment to placing competent and visionary individuals in strategic positions to drive the nation’s economic agenda.
The APC chieftain hoped Oyedele would build on his impressive track record as chairman of the Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms to strengthen fiscal discipline, enhance revenue generation and support the successful implementation of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
Chief Idemudia Agbonjiazoe urged stakeholders to support the new minister of finance and prayed the god of their ancestors to grant him divine guidance and strength as he assumed his new responsibilities.
In his final submission, Chief Agbonjiazoe saluted President Tinubu for his courageous leadership, and dedication to leading Nigeria to posterity and greatness.
In the same vein, he saluted his brother and friend Tunji Disu the new Inspector General of Police (IGP) for giving the Nigeria Police Force a new identity in the international community.
He also praised his brother and friend His Excellency Monday Ekpebolor, the Executive Governor of Edo State and all the good people of Edo State, and urged them to continue to support President Tinubu and the ruling APC, as he promised APC would lead Nigeria towards reclaiming her position as the Giant of Africa.
