Encomiums have continued pouring in for First City Monument Bank (FCMB) Limited for consistently initiating and supporting activities designed to empower society, particularly its customers.
The latest applause came from Mr. Nkemakolam Egwuonwu and Mrs. Philomena Ewohimen, the winners of N5million and N1million, respectively, at the grand finale of the Lagos and Southwest regional draw of the FCMB Millionaire Promo held on August 19, 2015 across the country.
Egwuonwu, while speaking during the cheques presentation ceremony in Lagos, described FCMB as a true partner in progress, adding: “one of the hallmarks of any responsible corporate organisation is the ability to maximise the wealth of its customers.
“FCMB has continued to show over the years that it is committed to help customers grow, I am proud to identify with the bank. FCMB Millionaire Promo will go a long way to turn around the fortunes of many people. I therefore urge existing and incoming customers to fully participate in it,” he added.
On her part, winner of the N1million prize, Mrs. Ewohimen said, “today is one of the happiest moments in my life. FCMB has made me proud. This money will help me a lot to further develop myself.
“Since I opened an account with FCMB, I have not had any cause to regret and I believe that I will continue to grow with the bank, because it has proved that it stands for the progress of the people.”
Executive Director, Business Development of FCMB, Adam Nuru, assured that the bank would continue to champion and support initiatives that would enable customers fulfill their various aspirations.
According to him, “as an inclusive financial service provider, we will continue to scale up the level of our service delivery and empowerment programmes in line with our values as a simple, reliable and helpful financial institution,” he added.
Also speaking at the event, a Deputy Director of the Consumer Protection Council (CPC), Joshua Nggada, hailed the bank for conducting the promo and the draws with integrity and transparency.
According to Nggada, FCMB followed due process from the beginning of the promo till the emergence of the various winners. “We give kudos to the Bank for coming up with this reward scheme and helping to empower Nigerians.”
The FCMB Millionaire Promo was targeted at all segments of society and for existing as well as potential savings account customers of the bank. The eligible products/accounts for the promo include FCMB basic savings, kids account, Nairawise, e-savings, premium savings and third party accounts.
In all, a total of 1,932 winners emerged during the FCMB Millionaire Promo through the three draws conducted in April, June and the grand finale in August.
Mr. Adamu Oseni received N5million for emerging as the star prizewinner at the Abuja & North regional draw, just as Dorcas Terfa received N1million. The winner of N5million at the South-East/South-South draw was Mr. Peters Emmanuel while Mr. Oke Owhubetine smiled home with N1million.
Following this development and the huge success recorded during the cause of the reward scheme, the bank has announced an extension of the promo till January 2016. – Daily Independent.
